Our Team

  • Dawn Schull, President

Dawn is a proud Montana native who currently lives in Jacksonville. Since 2015, Dawn has been a Master Women’s thrower and has participated in competitions such as the Masters World Championships and the Arnold. She is a communications coordinator for her local government, focusing on web design, content creation, and digital ADA compliance. In addition to this, she works with event organizers to plan and promote Highland Games throughout Florida.

  • Becky Wissink, Treasurer

I started throwing heavy objects in 1992, and haven’t stopped. PR’s were a long time ago, but getting out there every time is a PR in my book. We compete with each other instead of against each other. The highland games community is family, (be it dysfunctional at times).

Member of the Rocky Mountain Scottish Hall of Fame (Inducted 2011). Retired bilingual educator, past president of Denver Teachers Union, Director for Virginia Education Association, and Associate Director for Ed Policy and Practice at the National Education Association. Currently working on “honey-do” lists for family, friends, and the community.

My favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate fudge with ribbons of peanut butter.

  • Alysha Corrigan

    Alysha Corrigan, Executive Secretary

Alysha Corrigan serves as the Executive Secretary and Head Scorekeeper for the Foundation for Scottish Athletics (FSA).

Her involvement in the sport continued to grow over the years, and by 2018 she became more active within the competitive Highland Games community alongside her boyfriend, Tyson Trias.

What Alysha enjoys most about the Highland Games is the strong sense of community and camaraderie within the sport. She values the friendships and shared experiences that bring athletes, volunteers, and supporters together each weekend throughout the season.

  • Tyson Trias

    Tyson Trias, Director at Large

I was introduced to the Highland Games by Rich Gideon and Steve Cluster back in 1999 and was instantly hooked after my very first competition. Since then, I’ve been blessed to be part of this incredible sport year after year, working to help keep the Highland Games thriving for both current athletes and future generations to come.

I’m truly looking forward to an amazing future with the Foundation for Scottish Athletics as we continue to promote, preserve, and grow the sport I love so much.
